Dear All:
We would like to invite you to attend our 1st Annual IACS-UST Gathering. This event is held as a platform for students and faculty under the International Institute for Cultural Studies-UST to congregate, share their learning experiences and receive feedback from the audience members. In this gathering, the IACS-UST students will have short presentations to share their research projects and/or their reflections over their study period. It is the aim of the gathering to bring students and faculty closer together, not only to appreciate the progress the students have made but also to connect with one another and set up network of affiliations among the students and faculty. This first annual gathering will be held in:
Date : Sunday, May 3, 2015
Time: 13.00 – 18.00
Venue : Room 110, HA Building 2, National Chiao Tung University
Among the invitees are the IICS Director, Directors of the four clusters of research team under the IACS-UST, and staff of the IACS-UST. Students and professionals interested in Inter-Asia Cultural Studies are also welcomed to participate and enliven the event.
In the gathering, each presenter will be given at most 10 minutes with a Q&A session for each panel, 15 minutes for Panel A, B, and C, and 10 minutes for Panel D. After the student presentations, we will run a round table discussion in which we aim to inter-reference our diversified interpretations and personal experiences during the process of knowledge production not only among the IACS-UST Program but also within our articulations with the “Inter-Asia Cultural Studies” as open-ended and dynamical projects. The gathering will also be followed by a buffet dinner in the HA Building Lobby. If you are interested in joining us, please click on the link below for online registration before April 24. 2015.
